Wendy & Jonathan’s Engagement

I met up with Wendy and Jonathan at the Swan Boats in the Boston Public Gardens for their engagement session last month. It wasn’t nearly as hot as it had been recently and these two were ready to have some fun. And they’re the type of people who like to have fun! They’re both very athletic and love being outdoors on their mountain bikes or just about any other apparatus that will give the rider a good adrenaline rush. My kind of people…

We started the session at the duck pond. We snapped a few photos and then headed across the road to the carousel at Frog Pond. The operators of the carousel were very gracious with us and gave us ample opportunities to take some photos on and off the carousel. I even think Jonathan and Wendy had some fun in the process.

We then took to the skyline with Wendy and Jonathan conquering all. After that, they battled each other as they "walked" through the commons. Wendy was on Jonathan’s back at least once but I think Jonathan got her into a headlock eventually – all in good fun of course. I was laughing the whole time I watched their antics.

Following a quick outfit change into something a bit more formal, we took a few more photos at the duck pond before heading over into Beacon Hill. The daylight was waning and it was perfect light for photos against one of the classic lamp posts found throughout the area. We ended the session with a final visit to the carousel which was now aglow against the night sky. So cool!

Wendy and Jonathan – I’m really looking forward to celebrating with you both later this year! Thanks for allowing me to share in the celebration with you!

There’s nothing I love more than capturing laughter on camera.

So ironic…when you want people in the picture, they avoid you.  When you don’t want them in the picture, it’s like they never saw you.  This was a case of the former.

 Gotta love Beacon Hill!

 Love!
