Cierra and Mike’s Winter Wonderland Wedding at The Villa in East Bridgewater

Although winter isn’t our busy season, we always enjoy winter weddings because they provide photographic opportunities you just don’t get in August. We did have snow one year for a wedding on October 29 (remember that Erin & Anthony!). That’s pretty rare though.

Cierra and Mike’s wedding in early March would give us a second opportunity this winter to make the most of what Mother Nature sent our way this winter. Their wedding was at The Villa in East Bridgewater. It’s just one of those venues that gets weddings and does them right. Their staff, food and service are impeccable. We always have a great time shooting there.

When I met Cierra and her mom Roxanne for the first time, I could tell we were kindred spirits. Each of them have a sweet spirit and we got along instantly.  Roxanne and I also share a passion for all things vintage. That was a fun discovery as well.

Since Cierra and Mike live out of state, I met them the week before their wedding for their on-site visit. We walked around the Villa and then spent some time chatting at Dunkies to figure out the best plan for their wedding day. With a plan in place, we were ready for the big day.

We started the day with an indoor first look and a few “first” tears. After that, we took some formal photos inside with the wedding party and then snuck out in the cold for a few shot with Cierra and Mike. The ceremony was in the Medera ballroom which is where we also wrapped up the family photos following the ceremony. We had a photo bomb or two as well as some fake red neck style teeth (guest initiated) that kept us laughing throughout.  Since Cierra and Mike did a first look, they spent a good portion of their cocktail hour visiting with their guests.

The reception was awesome. It was evident by what was said during the toasts that both Cierra and Mike are well loved and appreciated by family and friends. After dinner, DJ Jon Smith got the room rocking. His style of DJ’ing appeals to all generations which kept the dance floor absolutely packed the whole night.

We snuck outside during the reception for one last photo in the snow. Based on the results of George’s image, I think it was worth it! The rest of the time, Cierra and Mike did exactly what they should have done – danced their butts off.

Cierra and Mike – thank you again for allowing us to celebrate with you. We had such a great time and appreciate your willingness to freeze your noses off for a few minutes with us. Wishing you both many years of joy and dancing!
