Five days – no internet.

Most people these days (myself included) would look at the title of this blog and immediately go into panic mode.  Generally, I would too.  And I think I was pretty close to being there last Tuesday when I realized I would be without the internet the rest of the week.  I was pretty convinced that something catastropic would happen.  Great news – it didn’t.

Dorothy, Lily and I were blessed to be able to spend some time last week at a cabin owned by some of our friends.   Even better – we shared our time there with some of our friends!  The cabin is situated on the lower end of Kezar Lake near Lovell, ME.  It’s westerly views of the White Mountains are breathtaking!  No internet.  No cell service.  A massive stone fireplace.  Cozy bedrooms.  Peace.  Quiet.  Perfection.

For all the work-a-holics out there (again myself included), find your cabin, shut off your computer and your cell.  Enjoy the fire.  Enjoy the peace.  Refresh.  It’s worth it.

A special thanks to the Simmons Family for sharing their little piece of paradise with us.  It’s hard to say how much we appreciate it!
