Chrissy & Matt’s Wedding

I could tell the very first time I met themthat Matt absolutely adores Chrissy and that Chrissy is head over heels in love with Matt. The story of their proposal confirmed my observations. Matt surprised Chrissy at home with a path of rose petals and chocolates leading to an entire bouquet of roses and Matt. Who says guys aren’t romantic?!

Chrissy is a details person. She had been planning her wedding for months (possibly years) and had every single detail organized and documented on her laptop. She didn’t want to miss a thing. And she didn’t. Matt, well, in his words, just "couldn’t wait to dance." And dance he did.

I arrived at the Quincy Marriott to meet the ladies. As the second lady stepped from the limo, I noticed the matching outfits. "Chrissy’s Girls" was embroidered on the back of each hooded jacket, with each lady’s name on her sleeve. We headed up to a suite where I immediately dug into some detail shots of the dress, shoes and anything else I could find. Chrissy’s ladies went about the process of getting themselves ready and then helped Chrissy into her dress.

Once Chrissy was ready to go, her sisters presented her with a gift from Matt. It was a beautiful necklace. He picked the necklace himself, but confirmed with the bridesmaids that it would be something Chrissy would love. She did. Without hesitation, the gift was placed around Chrissy’s neck. She was ready. Kenny, of Kenny’s Coach, and his elegant white trolley, awaited the bridal party at the front door.

Arriving at St Paul’s, I hopped out of the trolley so I could check in with George. The gentlemen had spent the morning getting ready and then shared a drink together at The Snug, a local pub. From there, they walked over to the church so they could seat the guests.

Following the wedding party, Chrissy was escorted down the aisle by her mom and dad. Matt could barely contain himself. He pretended to fall over at the sight of her. Yeah…I think he was a bit overwhelmed.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was watching one of Matt and Chrissy’s young nephews lead a congregational response. The view I had allowed me to see the extra platform placed behind the pulpit for him to stand on as well as all the wrinkles all down the back of his suit. Such a typical boy! It made me think of all the times I would mess up my clothes and my mom would try and get them looking good once again. Matt and Chrissy smiled with joy as their nephew raised his hand to receive the congregation’s response.

After greeting their guests at the back of the church, we loaded Matt, Chrissy, their families and the bridal party into the trolley and headed to Hingham Harbor. The wind was blowing hard, so we had to position all the ladies (bride included) so the hair wasn’t blowing in their face the whole time. The wind did make Chrissy’s veil come alive, which really added to the photos. When we finished with the group, we walked over to a dock and took some of my favorite shots of the year at the end of the dock. The sky could not have been more perfect!!

Kenny invited everyone back into the trolley for the ride to the incredibly elegant Black Rock Country Club. Upon arrival, Kim was waiting for us with golf carts so we could take Chrissy and Matt to the 14th hole. They did a quick video promo and then I snapped a few shots before we rode back to the clubhouse. We finished up the family photos on the back stairs and then headed for the reception.

From the first dance to the last, the reception was amazing. The toasts, delivered by Chrissy and Matt’s siblings were about as personal and loving as they could be. Matt had his own cake – a Waltham fire engine. The "shoe" game made the entire room laugh out loud and the chocolate table gave everyone plenty of sugar to take home.

Beginning to end, it was an incredible day with an incredible couple.

Congrats to Chrissy and Matt. May the joy expressed on your wedding day remain with you for as long as you live. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of you beautiful day!
