Ti and Brian’s Red Sox Wedding

I knew from their engagement sessionthat Ti and Brian were Red Sox fans and that they were incorporating a baseball theme into their wedding. Little did I understand how many of the little details they would include with the theme. The Transformer cufflinks? Yeah, I’m not sure what they had to do with baseball, but they were sweet!

George dropped me off at The Shaw’s Center and then took off to meet the guys who were getting ready at a hotel close by. I walked into my "office" for the day – a room full of duffle bags, makeup kits, hair spray, dresses, and of course a group of lovely ladies. Ti and the rest of the ladies were putting the final touches on their hair and makeup, so I started with a few photos of Ti’s dress. After that, I snapped a few shots of the reception area and bumped into the DJ – Mark McGillicuddy. George and I had worked with him previously and it was a great night, so I had no doubts we were in for another good time.

After I said hi to Mark, I looked around the room. Here’s where the baseball theme really came to life. Ti had found this really cool tablecloth for the sweetheart table that looked like a huge baseball. Their cake? The cake topper was custom made and was a recreation of Ti and Brian dressed in a tux and white dress with baseball caps on. The cake itself had the red stitching of a baseball at the top of each tier. Unreal. Each table had a pennant with the table number and a little later that night, each table would receive two bottles of Red Sox wine. An avid Sox fan myself, I was definitely impressed!

George soon arrived with the guys and was working with them up in the stadium. There was some kind of Little League event going on just before the wedding and some of the kids were still there at that point, so the groomsmen borrowed a couple of gloves and started tossing the ball. Action shots!

It was time for the ceremony to begin. Brian waited patiently at the front with his best man and the JP, Michelle Lydon. Ti walked through the doors grinning from ear to ear, walking arm in arm with her mom.

Michelle began the ceremony. She knew about the baseball theme as well and eloquently included baseball terms as she shared about marriage. The ceremony was paused momentarily as the whole crowed joined in a rousing rendition of "Take me out to the Ballgame!" The ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect for Ti and Brian.

Following the ceremony, we did an "everyone" photos right on the field of Campanelli Stadium. Donna, the Shaw’s Center coordinator, gave us free reign around the ballpark for the rest of the photos and we used the whole thing. We took photos in the dugout. We took photos on the field. In the seats. Out front. Basically everywhere. It was such a unique opportunity to stretch our creative abilities. George and I loved every minute of it. And I think Ti and Brian were having a darn good time too!

The reception was nothing less than excellent! Ti and Brian had a ton of fun and dance-crazed friends and family who partied all night long. Mark did a fantastic job of playing to the crowd and kept the dance floor hopping. We always appreciate it because it gives George and I an opportunity to take fun pictures.

At the end of the night, the guests were greeted with a table of goodies on their way out. Yup, you guessed it…peanuts and Cracker Jacks!

Thanks Ti and Brian for allowing us to love what we do!  And a special thanks as well to Donna for taking such great care of us throughout the day.
