Meet Kat – Our 2010 Summer Intern!!

Hey I’m Kat! I’m excited tobe interning this summer. I’m a Photo Studio major with a Spanish minor at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. I have enjoyed photography since I was a little kid, but I didn’t realize it until I was going through four shoe boxes full of photos that I had taken since I was 6!

I’ve had a great time since I’ve started minus the spiders. I HATE spiders, and I’ve been attacked by at least 10 in the first two days that I worked. I’ve also been warned about poison ivy and we almost ran into some during a photo shoot on my second day. Conveniently, Jeff, George, and Alana didn’t warn me about the dangers of working with them until after I showed up on my first day.

George and Alana hooked me up with a Survival Kit, complete with everything needed to survive my internship this summer. I’ve got Alana’s vegetables (she doesn’t eat them so I get to), Reese’s peanut butter cups (apparently there’s some kind of addiction going on around here), and poison ivy cream. I’m lucky bail money wasn’t included too!

I’ve got my camera (and now I’m armed with bug spray and poison ivy cream!), so I’m looking forward to a fun summer.

As a follow-up, I have to say that George, Alana and I are incredibly excited to have Kat join our team for the next several weeks.  She started just over a week ago and I’m already impressed with her technical photographic knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm.  She’s already been with me to an engagement session and a pre-wedding consultation.  We have a ton more in store for her during the time she is with us, so keep an eye out for updates.

And don’t worry Kat – it’s not as bad as the Survival Kit makes it seem!  Promise!

Jeff
