Lily Challenge – Week II

Week 2 has already come and gone! I can’t believe it!  Even more, I can’t believe I still haven’t missed a day.  Don’t worry though – there’s still 17 more days for me to miss…

Here’s a look back at week 2 in the challenge.

Day 8 – Look!!

This photo was taken at Dorothy’s parent’s house. To Lily, that’s grandma and grandpa. She spends two days a week there so I can get some work done – thanks Bonnie & David!! Lily gets her love of books from her mom whose first word was book.

Day 9 – Early morning

The first time Lily was up was around 5:15 with Dorothy. She went back to sleep, but woke up for good at 6:15. I grabbed this shot while I was making her breakfast around 7:15.

Day 10 – Sleeping Angel

So I intentionally decided to wait until later in the day to take Lily’s picture today because most of the ones so far were taken in the earlier part of the day. What wasn’t intentional was to take her photo after she was asleep, but it worked anyway. Dorothy held a flash light on her so I could focus in the dark and I only took one picture. The good news is that she slept right through it.

Day 11 – Working

Maybe a more appropriate title would be "Distracting." Lily tends to distract from our work more than she helps, unless of course, she’s modeling for us. I grabbed this shot while Alana and George were trying to get some work done. Lily really likes to play with our computers or should I say anything she knows she shouldn’t be playing with…

Day 12 – The Chase

This just made me laugh. I plopped Lily down in our living room, ran into the dining room, grabbed my camera and laid down on the floor. About a second later, she came into view. These pictures are from the first of three sets I took. I felt a sequence worked better than one individual shot.

Day 13 – The Wagon

We are smart. What can I say? Instead of hanging out in Mass this weekend, we spent the weekend in Maine with our friends Jeff and Elise and their son Ben. You may recognize him from Day 7 when they were down here. We’re smart because our visit to Maine gave us a nice sunny day rather than the gross raining day we would have had here at home. Since it was so nice, we decided to pull the kids around the yard in the wagon. They really enjoyed it!

Day 13 Bonus – Laundry

So I took this picture after I had already posted the wagon shot, but it was just too cute to not share. Elise has figured out that Ben likes to hang out in the laundry basket from time to time. It gives her about half an hour to get a few things done before the novelty of being in the laundry basket wears off. Lily apparently liked it too.

Day 14 – SOOOOO BIG!!!

Lily’s newest trick is lifting her hand up over her head and we say "SOOOOO BIG!" when she does. She’ll do it a few times before she gets bored with it. It totally cracks us up for obvious reasons.
