Michele & Sean’s Engagement Session

I met up with Michele and Sean in South Boston atCastle Island for their engagement session. We opted to start under some flowering trees in full bloom. We then walked up by the entrance of the fort, not realizing it was not open for the season yet. Luck for us, a gentleman was kind enough to allow us to "sneak in" and grab a few shots. He even shared some of the history of the fort with us as we walked around inside. Definitely going back there this summer!

Once our tour was over, we headed around to the far side of the fort. Sean and Michele are definitely a lot of fun, so we got goofy on some granite stairs and captured some fun action shots. I think Sean was trying to show off for Michele, but who am I to judge…

We crossed the path onto a large grassy area filled with dandelions. Little did I know that the weed I’ve been working SO hard to eliminate in my yard would, in mass, make for some of my favorite engagement photos. It was a slightly overcast day and with just Michele, Sean, and the dandelions in frame, it looked as though they were strolling through a hilly countryside.

Every so often, I take a picture that I look at and just say "WOW!" Understand, this is not because I’m egotistical. I think I’m just surprised that I could actually get a shot that good. As Michele and Sean were walking through the yellow bliss, Sean leaned over and picked a couple of dandelions and gave them to Michele. She held them in her hand. I zoomed in…got the flowers, the ring and a portion of Michele’s side. This shot is possibly one of my top 10 all-time favorites. My style is simple elegance. This shot epitomizes my style.

As we were heading back around the fort, Sean mentioned that he wanted to "catch a plane." This was his one special request. Well, he did…
